Jefferson Airplane on the Dick Cavett Show

Postby Guest on Fri Jan 06, 2006 9:18 pm

I recently got the DVD set of the Dick Cavett show which has many live performances on it and there are two live Airplane tunes on it. They do "We Can Be Together" and "Somebody To Love" with David Crosby. He only does backup vocals and tambourine, but still Airplane and Crosby.....awesome. The show is from the day after Woodstock, Stephen Stills, and Joni Mitchell perform as well. The other DVD's have great performances from Janis Joplin (unfortunately not with Big Brother), Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, Sly and the Family Stone, and George Harrison. Great performances and a chance to see them perform like you wouldn't other wise be able to.

it is worth it, it was like 40 dollars, but along with the performances are some great interviews from Dick Cavett.....I would suggest buying it if you have any interest in it

I think it is worth it as well. I own it, and the interviews and performances are great. Considering how many DVDs you get, it really isn't that expensive either. You might check amazon.com. You could probably get it used and cheaper now.
