The Jimmy Fund Council of Greater Boston proudly presents the Jefferson Starship Galactic Reunion, a rare performance featuring the founding members of the legendary Jefferson Airplane and Jefferson Starship.
Joining Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees and Jefferson Airplane founders Marty Balin and Paul Kantner are current and former members of the band including Tom Constanten (Grateful Dead), David Freiburg (Quicksilver Messenger Service), and Prairie Prince (The Tubes, Journey).
As a special favor to the Jimmy Fund, they are bringing their original psychedelic light show with them. Circle of Gold ticket holders will have the rare opportunity to attend the band's sound check and rehearsal, and receive a live CD recording of this extraordinary concert.
As Jefferson Starship continues to extensively tour world-wide, the band and the additional former members are flying in for a landing in Boston to hold this very special Galactic Reunion to promote the efforts of the Jimmy Fund.
The Jimmy Fund raises money to support the fight against cancer at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, helping to raise the chances of survival for children and adults with cancer around the world. Since 1948, thousands of events, coupled with the generosity of millions of people, have helped the Jimmy Fund save countless lives by furthering cancer research and care at Dana-Farber.
