Only the one verison of "Easter" that I am aware of. The band didn't play that song live.

I guess it's the neopagan interpretation of Easter versus the Christian tradition. I'm sure the question mark in the title refers to the nasty little evangelical comics of Jack T. Chick. (The anti-hippy tract "Bewitched?" for example. "Oh no! My face... it's melting!" )

Sigh. I suppose I'll actually have to listen to it now.

Don't torture yourself with arrogant, overambitious pseudo intellectual piddling ,Sue. You'd better find yourself ,,The Little Black Egg'' with the little white specks laid by The Nightcrawlers.I found it the other day and I still can't get it out of my head .I can't figure it out it's symbolic meaning( if there is any at all - only guessing ) but it surely is cute and pretty and it crap on the" Easter?" and "Never Argue With A German's head".

I think it refers to people being easily molded. But I am guessing from another Grace song, Ballad of the Chrome Nun, which also uses the term "Clay Pigeon."

Hate literature department; to the average Christian fundie fanatic, the "feet of clay" refers to last empire of the last days of Earth. (Daniel chapter 2, verses 31-49.) This last empire can be anything you hate, really; the latter-day Roman Catholic Church, the Common Market, Communism, the One World Government, etc. (Thanks to Carol for the research.) Generally, a person with "feet of clay" is one who is much admired but has a fatal weakness. As for the pigeon, BLAM!, just a pointless amplification.

You're right OKD, this is a silly exercise. "Easter" is just a rant, "Ballad" is a much better song.
