Far as I can tell, in concert Paul played this on guitar while singing. Not bad. Jorma, of course, played this and other intros like Tobacco Road and Chauffeur Blues on the recording but Paul played them live I believe. One difference IMO, aside from the obvious, between Paul and Jorma's guitar playing; Paul is understated, rather casual and hesitant while Jorma is forceful, self-assured and pollished.
 
Anyway this is capoed on the 2nd fret and played in drop D tuning.
