"Riot On Sunset Strip", at last. Not as exciting as it sounds, but I liked the music. A bit of a meller, really. Nice girl lumbered with drunken mum falls in with a bad crowd, gets dosed a party by randy creep. (I'm sure that's how my parents thought kids became drug addicts.) Turns out she's the police chief's daughter, dad attacks teens, teens say rude things and wave placards. No riot as advertised. The trip scene looks like a contortionist performance from some surrealist nightclub.

Many exploitation flix were like that in the 60s.......the music was psychedelic though

"Telstar". It's billed as a comedy, which it really isn't. There's some mild humour in it, but the best parts are quite spooky, and it gets really grim towards the end. Even though Joe Meek is portrayed as a prize cunt, his downfall is heart-rending to watch. I suppose that means it's a good film.
