Today I worked on Long John Silver, which i think i have about right.
I think it's in E minor pentatonic
The main bass line:

G|--------------------------|
D|--------------------------|
A|--7~-7~-7~--7-5-4------5-4---|
E|-----------------------5------5--|

I think the main chord progression follows the bass part

E E D C#m A D C#m A

I think the chorus is back and forth between D and E.

P4P, have you ever worked out Silver Spoon? It's my latest attempt. I've got the chorus well enough (most of it over barred G, A, & D), but I haven't gotten the rest yet.

Hmm no I haven't. I can try it out though! I'll work on it tonight :)

I think i figured out the main chord progression to Ice Cream Phoenix (E5, D5, C#5 D5 E5) but I can't figure out the "baby, tell me how if you think you know how..." part. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks! I try to make decent tabs. Its irritating how the spaces are formatted out on here- because the chords aren't over the right words when it does that. If you want me to send you something with the chords in the proper spaces just let me know and I can email them in a word document.

Hijack (open C, CGCGCE)
In open c tuning, CGCGCE. In the open riff you’re gonna play the open C and E flat, then repeat and finger the Eb chord and slide up to the high C at the twelfth fret. I have a legend of the chords at the bottom of the tab. Don’t take my verse fills (C Eb C C Eb C2) literally- even though they do have those chords and those chords only- because it’s such a strange rhythm to tab, but it’s self explanatory when you listen to it

Intro riff
C Eb C
C Eb C Eb slide to C2

Play the intro riff over the verses.

C Eb C C Eb C2
The summer was dry like your nose when you've been behind coke for a day and a season
We sail out into the grasshopper nite and we seek the righteous poison
Sunday morning in speedway, y'know the people come around for a reason

Eb G
SUNDAY MORNIN
F
SUNDAY MORNIN

C Eb C C Eb C2
The land is green and you make it grow, go to the forest and move
The sound of thundering electrical energy calls us to the park in the noon
C'mon anybody-now fill my pipe * to the park * to the forest and move

Interlude thingy:
Eb F Eb F

Eb G F
When I feel you coming round me - ridin in the sun
Eb G F
Goin home move your mind toward Mars and then beyond
Eb G F
Genesis is not the answer to what we had before
Eb G F
I we altogether in you

C Eb C C Eb C C2
You know I remember the 23rd of November
To the abyss of Chicago you can see the barbed wire - pigs around a lot of nothin’
The witch hunters wail and they bark and they wheeze and they try to turn us onto their poison

F
You know - a starship circlin in the sky - it ought to be ready by 1990
They'll be buildin it up in the air even since 1980

C Eb C C Eb C2
People with a clever plan can assume the role of the mighty
Eb F
and HIJACK THE STARSHIP
Eb F
Carry 7000 people past the sun
Eb F
And our babes'll wander naked thru the cities of the universe
Eb F Eb F Eb F Eb F
free minds, free bodies, free dope, free music
F Eb F Eb F Eb
the day is on its way the day is ours

C Eb C C Eb C C2
You breathe out You breathe in and the glow of the machine'l get you on
F Eb
Moving slow, don't fear the changes
F G Eb
Gracefully growing - as wild as we can be
G F
Only the sun knows what we really need to know
Eb G F
Only the sun holds the secret
Eb
And more than human can we be
F
Cause human's truly locked
Eb F
To this planetary circle

C Eb C C Eb C C2
‘You gotta ride’ said the Doktor of space. ‘I have lived here once before; the lites in the nite are a village of stars of stars that I have explored’
Beyond the idea of beyond the void and beyond that and more
Parallel lines in this village of stars will lead you to the second door
And time won't wait for the Doktor of space from the city of the sun to come

I think I figured out Sketches of China. It's in C major. I guess you could solo in A Minor Pentatonic.
The main verse part is C G Am F
The 'ain't what you want, it's what you need' is F C Dm. I'm not so sure about that part but it works.
Then the 'there was a lady part' goes Em and F and repeats.
It sounds much better played with open chords rather than barred chords.

Hey, does nyone care if I submit the chords you uploaded to ultimate-guitar.com ? Specially PrayForPlagues, I've been looking for those chords and I think it's great to have them available online. Thanks a lot anyway.

And on Sketches of China, the part of "Let me tell you about a man I knew, he wrode the..." is the same chord progression as Let It Be, No Woman No Cry, and Jack Johnson's Taylor: Am-G-C-F but that's the only part I figured out! I also made a mediocre work for Grace's Sunrise from Blows Against The Empire, it's on ultimate guitar (http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/j/j ... re_crd.htm).

I've also uploaded many Mama's And The Papa's chords on the same webpage.

Thanks!
What about "Have You Seen the Stars Tonight?"
I always assume that was in an altered tuning also.

For the O/P I'll try and take a stab at Hey Frederick.
