The Worst Jefferson Airplane Compilations

What's your favourite Jefferson Airplane compilation album?

I love 2400 Fulton Street.
Lots of great Airplane songs.
I like the 'Suite' style line up, similar to Baxter's.

That's a really good one. I think all of the compilation albums that were released are amazing. Umm, Jefferson Airplane Loves You has a great variety of their music though, both live and studio recordings. Plus it has those other goodies like Would you like a snack, the dress rap and Ribump ba bap dum dum. :D So JA Loves You is possibly considered my favorite mixed album.

Well, my first Airplane CD ever was The Essential Jefferson Airplane. From about March to May 2009, it was virtually all I listened to. Then, of course, came Baxter's, at which point I was already lost in fandom. :)

I had been familiar with Baxters and the 2 songs from Woodstock and those only, for a while until I found The Worst of on vinyl. I enjoyed it but the track on that that REALLY impressed me was the live 'Plastic Fantastic Lover' from BIPLH. Such an awesome song. Jack's playing on it stuck out to me a lot. And 'Good Shepherd' was stuck in my head for weeks. I was already a huge fan of Jorma from Baxters and especially his 'Uncle Sam Blues' on Woodstock- that was the first song I learned on the guitar.
However, has any one heard the new 'Set List' compilation of live tracks?

I have that CD, it was also one of my first ones. It has great stuff, pity some of the newer "Essentials" now have 4 discs instead of 2.

One of my first albums after SP was The Essential, so I've always taken a liking to that CD a lot. :)

I can send it to you. But it's 3 separate CD's. Just call the shot. You still might want to look out for it in the future too because it's a boxset with some neat things to it. :D

Thanks SuperSlick66,
I think I will keep an eye out for the box. I have been looking at the reviews on Amazon which people comment on the great packaging and the photos and interviews featured in the book. I think it will be easy to get my hands on.
