It's certainly great, if a bit on the sad side, but I abused it by putting it on while I was washing dishes, and it has the flavour of the kitchen sink now. I like "Smiley Smile" better. It's somewhat silly in a nice way, and I'm impressed by the way the tape edits make the music. That doesn't mean it's a "better album", but I don't understand this reasoned objective quality game. Moving away from the album next door to Pet Sounds, I haven't a clue how to argue one is better than another.
