This is from the Altamont festival which didn't end so nice...

I swear I saw Michael Lang in that video from Altamont. Didn't know he was there. Sad scene there, but it had to happen eventually. Hell's Angels for security was the mistake, IMHO.

Hi guys! I'm so happy to see this forum and many JA fans :D
I have a very interesting DVD called “The Dick Cavett Show – Rock Icons – Vol.1”.
It includes Dick Cavett show on August 19, 1969 (just three days after Woodstock!!!). And there are the Airplane, Joni Mitchell, Stephen Stills and David Crosby in this show!!! Great!!! I recommend it to every JA fan !!!
The Airplane perform three songs:
1)We Can Be Together
2)Volunteers
3)Somebody To Love
And, of course, there’s also an interview with the musicians…
I don’t know if it’s available for downloading somewhere on the net…
The DVD also has bonuses:
Dick Cavett shows with
Sly And The Family Stone (July 13, 1970)
David Bowie (December 5, 1974)
The Dick Cavett Interview: Bob Weide (Curb Your Enthusiasm)

Zapping last night, I came across a video of Jefferson Airplane, performing "Crown Of Creation" live! A video I had never seen before and that I am unable to find on the internet. It was a performance from 1968,(You can date photo's and videos easily by the way of the lenght of Jack Casady's hair) probably a TV program, possibly shot during their European tour. Does anyone know this video? It was shot against a lightshow and at times close ups of bandmembers were superimposed over the band. I clearly remember two mirrored images of Jack's face merging.

Maybe it is from the Ed Sullivan Show 1968 ?

Yes,thank you, that could be very well the one I saw, it has those superimposed images of Jack. Strange that it didn't come up when I was searching for it this morning.

This may very well be it-

I love that video, that and the one from the Smothers Brothers show the same year was also great, but I personally prefer the Ed Sullivan version, I'm not sure why. Probably something to do with Grace though, because the Smothers Brothers version has better quality.

Here's Won't You Try/Saturday Afternoon from the same show, but this was a rehearsal of sorts, and wasn't aired, thus why you can't find it without the time code.

Hi mellowgerman!
I think that live video for "Emergency” you are looking for is from the Go Ride The Music Show (1970).
There is a great DVD called “Jefferson Airplane All Areas – Go Ride The Music” which contains that wonderful show with “Emergency”.
The DVD also includes other fantastic videos from various shows:
-American Bandstand (White Rabbit, Somebody To Love)
-The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour (Somebody To Love, White Rabbit, Crown Of Creation, Lather)
-The Ed Sullivan Show (Crown Of Creation)
-The Now Explosion (White Rabbit)

As for links for downloading that “Emergency” video from the net – sorry I don’t know…
I only have a link for downloading “Emergency” in the audio format (not video). If you need it, just let me know. I’ll be happy to help :D

Thanks Nipper!
I actually have the audio track. Just looking for the video. I'll see if I can't track down a copy of that DVD.
