Jeff Tamarkin, Got a Revolution. The turbulent flight of Jefferson Airplane.
Also his linernotes for all rereleased JA albums including the booklet for Jefferson Airplane Loves You.
Craig Fenton, Take Me To A Circustent. The Jefferson Airplane Flight Manual.
Grace Slick, Somebody To Love? (not very informative but very entertaining).

I have never read Barbara Rowes biography of Grace Slick, so I don't know if it is any good.
What ever happened to Marty Balin's book that was announced several years ago?

I have not yet read it, but John Barbata has a book out including his years as drummer for CSN&Y, JA and JS.

Wow! John Barbata's book must be great. I'll look for that.

Another book I'd add to the list is The Haight-Ashbury: A History, by Charles Perry.

I've read both this and the Jeff Tamarkin book, and both are really fantastic.

I've read every book named thus far on this page and they're all worth your time. Another one you guys might like is Darby Slick's Don't You Want Somebody to Love, his account of the Great Society Days with Grace Slick.

I'd never heard of it until I read this thread.
Apparently, it was published in 2002. Good luck finding it on the internet though.
