Ken Kesey was from my town. There is a really cool bronze statue of him reading Sometimes A Great Notion to some bronze children on a bench downtown. I don't know why I thought I'd share that with you, but every time I think of the merry pranksters, La Honda, or any one of his books I think of that statue. It's kind of cool that the city actually has a monument for one of the predominant counterculture leaders.
