ambigram request

Postby Jerald on Thu Jul 09, 2009 11:50 pm

John Langdon asked about any pictures of JS concerts in 1976 supporting the
Spitfire album. The particular ambigram he's interested in, the one he
designed, is the STARSHIP lettering on the label of the vinyl. That might
also have been used on signs, stage props, semi-trailers, swag, etc. He
wrote, "I designed the STARSHIP ambigram logo they used on the Spitfire
album and in concert on the '76 tour. Any chance you'd have any concert pix
that might show it?"

Ambigrams have become pretty big lately, as he had done several for Dan
Brown's Angels & Demons book, and they were used in the recent Ron Howard
movie. You can see those and a bunch more at my website:

I checked him out. He's the real deal. Any help appreciated.

Thanks. He'd really appreciate any photos of that ambigram from the '76 Spitfire tour.

Take care,

I'd SEEN it, but I didn't notice it was palindromic. And I call myself an artist!

Here is a rare example from Kevin Schmidt.

Anyone who can find a '76 Spitfire tour image would help John out.
