Long ago there was a song that was used on the ABC Sports Track & Field program. The video clip began with the runners sprinting towards the finish. Anyone remember?
Something about drums at the begining. Boom, Boom, Boom......

That's the song. Great memory. Thanks, brings back the past. Yea, ELP was part of that ABC sport moment: Fanfare for the Common Man.
