Thanksgiving at the Fillmore

"Memories From An Airplane"
Thanksgiving at the Fillmore: nov 27th Thanksgiving day.
Bill Graham would always have a great thanksgiving celebration.
Weds the 26th of Nov Jefferson Airplane played and then there
was a great party on thurs the 27th with turkey and all the fixings.
Bill would throw the party for the local musicians and his employees.
Bill and I were talking when Ike & Tina Turner made an entrance:
He was dressed like Super-fly, black hat, a diamond in his ear &
a black hat. But Tina was dressed in a mini-skirt that was just
below her nether regions. She was beautiful & a real knockout.
Ike & Tina walked up the aisle past us & Bill & I were looking
at Tina & had not said anything for about 5 minutes. Then
Bill turned to me and said "that ain't chopped liver!"

Thanksgiving at the Fillmore

Hi, Bill. Thanks for the reminisce.
You should also mention this was at the Fillmore East in NYC (not the one in S.F.).
And also the run of shows that the new live CD is from.
I was at one of those shows.

Yes, Tina would have been in town because that was the same weekend the Stones played at Madison Square Garden.

And sadly, we all know what happened about two weeks later.
