hey hey,
hope this is OK usin' this forum to just say "hi", looked around and couldn't see a "newbies" section anywhere so I'm gonna do it here, hope that's alright :)

so yeah, so "hi", greetings from Scotland.

I've loved the airplane etc. since I was 13 years old in 1987, finally, after 19 years I have all the Jefferson Family CD's now, it's been hard work gettin' em but so well worth it, after all "the quest is the quest" eh? (yeah, I've got the 80's Starship stuff too..hehehehe..*blush* oh well..)

I'd have to say that Grace has been the single biggest influence on my life.

I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing! :)

Oh I also wanted to say thanks to the posters who mentioned that Sugaree site. Woo hoo !!!!!! Vintage JA/JS live...how excellent is that?

Anyway take good care, maybe see yer around the boards ;)

Sky

PS - hmm... apologies for the excessive use of smilies. really gotta work on that... :D oops...

Welcome to the board, nice to have Scotland presented on the forum.
Seems like a beautiful country to me!

I hope you have a nice time being here and if you have some questions ask them.
There are alot veterans around that will serve you if needed.
By the way, I'm not one of them....I'm just a rookie (24 yrs) 8)
In order to be accepted on the forum, I had to say some pretty stupid stuff...but it helped.
Now I'm one of 'strong powers' behind this forum.

Cheers Indian,

24? Now I feel really old...I'm 32

I shouldn't have too much trouble thinkin' of stoopid things to say though! :D

and yeah, Scotland can be beautiful, on a good day, when it's not pouring with rain. Luckily we seem to have had a lot of good days this summer yay!

Take care

There is a Scottish tradition ,i like that very much.
It's not everybody's thing ,it's now used all over
the world. I am talking about a man in Scottish kilt
playing Amazing Grace on a bag pipe...

And if you like to hear a woman sing that
in a church....you can download it...

The woman in that music-clip is Leann Rimes.

 If 32=old then 47=a_bit_more_old
And i like these 8) to !...

WELCOME!!

We're nice people here, we have a lot of fun, so be sure to post lots and share your knowlege (which I'm sure is extensive).
They are extremely uncomfortable with the idea that I am a teenage girl in the body of a 60 year old career criminal who has already died 16 times...

woah! i gotta keep up here..

hey Destiny, I got a piper at the top of my street everyday, you'd love it (I live in Edinburgh, he's there for the tourists, we love him!)

Pandalove - Cheers! Skywise is the name of my favourite elf (do a search on Elfquest if you wanna know any more about him) I got a japanese cardboard sleeve in a paper bag version of the Bark CD from amazon. Wasn't too hard to get here in the UK anyhow.

Freakmeout - Thank you! Yeah, you all seem pretty cool and it's very nice to be here. 8)

and last but not least, Steve - you have no idea how jealous I now am...I can ony imagine what it must have been like to actually see the Airplane live. Oh! In fact, I'm imagining it right now...*sighs contentedly*

Peace.

Belated welcome Skywise from one of the few UK regulars. Is JA a specific obsession or have you been collecting any other discographies?

PS There's a sign in Oxford that reads ' Buskers limited to 1hr sessions- Bagpipes 30mins.' :D

Psychhead, Thanks for the welcome, I think I'll hang around a while...I like the decor in here

hey Pandalove, does that mean you've managed to track Bark down? I hope so!

allo Willie - hey fellow Brit :) JA/JS are one of a number of bands I follow, I seem to be terminally unfashionable when it comes to music though, my other favourites are Yes, Marillion and Kate Bush. I'm just an old progger at heart :D

Take care all.
