Because it was originally recorded to be on "Crown", but didn't make it.
They are extremely uncomfortable with the idea that I am a teenage girl in the body of a 60 year old career criminal who has already died 16 times...

Things Are Better In The East

Incredible tune.

"Things are better in the east, they say, for a poet and his fevers..."

It would have fit nicely with "In Time". DID NOT LIKE "Startracks". Could've replaced it with this, and been a better album for it.

Hi
I always wondered who the She is in that song. Someone told Marty, "Things are better in the East." I wish I was old enough to go to the East. It cloesd in 1971.

DItto. I didn't quite realize how many goodies there were on it. ALways paid attention to the albums they released.

Since this box set is out of print; is there another compilation filled with b-sides and other songs that has not been released on studioalbums?

Many great albums are out of print these days:

Neil Young - Time Fades Away
Crosby/Nash - Whistling Down The Wire

To name a few...
It's a total shame!

Well, I'm 25 yrs young since last friday!
Thanks....

And what did people give me???
CD-bonnen, you know, those things with value that can be used in cd shops all over the country.
I'm expecting to have around 125 dollar to spend on cd's this monday.
So, any recommendations?
I hope I can find something like the JA BOX set, filled with goodies (nice booklet) and other rare stuff.

There are some JA albums left that I still haven't bought; BIPLH, Takes Off
Or I go for some Neil Young and Beatles albums...

If you cant get hold of the box set then "Things are better in the east" is available as a bonus track on the reissue of "After bathing at baxter's"
RCA/BMG HERITAGE Cat No. 82876532252 :)

The version in the JA Loves You boxset is one of my top 10 songs and I like the demo version in the Baxter's reissue
