I'm still waiting for my 'Sunfighter' copy; it could be 4 weeks or more until I have it (it's indicated at delivery time; 8 or more weeks).
Errrr I allready waited 4,5 weeks and can't wait to hear it.
It's a shame that those albums are so hard to get here in Holland.
How is the situation in other countries; can you buy it in a record store or do you have to order it by the internet and what is the delivery time?

As soon as I have a copy I will let you all know.

Please share your experience about buying Sunfighter (related) albums.

it's almost impossible to find them here. sometimes I run across second hand stuff in one particular music shop but that's rare. even if I can find they are expensive. I never bought cds online but I did buy other stuff - lego mostly :) it takes about two weeks if I receive them - us post is lousy, they get lost!! and from europe it doesn't take more than 10 days - mostly not more than a week. uk and germany has great post services, I received stuff within 5 days from them. so I'd say two weeks is the maximum time for shipping unless it's ground mail. I never received anything with ground mail!!

Go HERE:

http://tela.sugarmegs.org/sugaree/

Scroll down to the "P"s... You can find about 3-hours' worth of good ol' PER&RO stuff...

Don Rico says "check it out!"

Thanks for that link...maybe I'm not the biggest whiz kid, but how does the site work

There are several great downloads; recommended to everyone of you.

It's EASY... So easy an idiot like me has NO PROBLEM.

I guess there are like two parts... One streams music all the time and one has recordings (audio and video) for download. That one is further subdivided into two parts, "sugaree" and "boxofrain". One is for mostly Grateful Dead and Dead-related stuff and the other is mostly not.

The thing is: It streams all the time 24 hours a day, but you can only DOWNLOAD after 5:00p.m. US Eastern Standard Time and on weekends (Saturday and Sunday).

So yeah... Now you know.
And knowing is half the battle!

A young man goes to his bed,
gives his wife a kiss and goes to sleep.
Sudden he wakes up, and looks at the old
man in white in the room next to his bed.

Damn who are you ?
What are you doing in my room ?
You are not in your sleeping room !
And i am Holy Petrus !
What ?.....you are telling me
that i am dead ?

Hey i am to young !
Send me back to my wife !
That isn't easy !said Petrus, you would have 2 opportunitys to go back,
one as a dog...
As a dog, seems to be not exciting, what is the other opportunity ?

The other opportunity to go back is as a chick.
OK! then i go back as a chick !
So it happend, he changed into a good looking chick !
Inside a room with other chicks.
He had a very strange feeling in his ass...
It seems to explode any time.

Seems to be not a good thing !
Male-chick asked to him; "how are you doing ?"
All seems to be ok! now, just that strange feeling in my ass...
Oohh...you have to pull out an egg !said the male-chick.

How should i do that ?, i did not pull out an egg before !
Make that sound that chicks do 2 times !
An egg came out of his "back"...GREAT!,
Makin' that noise again...an egg came out...and again...
Because he like that feeling !...again...

Then a after the next...sudden a voice ;

Damn!!! What are you doing!
Wake up you idiot!
You shit the bed all over!

Seems like good idea to re-start this topic.

So guys, so far so good; which Perro related records do you own?

My Perro records are:

'Blows Against The Empire'
'Sunfighter'
'Baron von Tollbooth'
'If I Could Only Remember My Name'
'Songs For Beginners'
'Crosby and Nash'

+

'Jerry Garcia'

Indian Summer:

Those ones you listed are the only PERRO recordings that I myself know about...

Excepting of course the 2nd Paul Kantner "solo" LP from 1983-- PLANET EARTH ROCK'N'ROLL ORCHESTRA...

... And the various stuff you can find at Sugarmegs.org under the "perro" and "crosby" listings...

Those are all that I know of...

But I would bet good money that Stephen Barncard (engineer at Pacific High recording studios circa 1970-1972) knows of more...

you folks know that "Planet Earth Rock and Roll Orchestra" (The Album) has been reissued on CD yeah?

you probably won't get it in any shops but it's available from Jefferson Starship's website http://www.jeffersonstarshipsf.com/

click on the PERRO tab on the left then when the pop up opens, click on "store" and you should find it.

it's the dog's b*****ks :)

(that's good by the way)
