Jefferson Airplane (and related) posters

Postby Indian Summer on Tue Apr 04, 2006 5:55 am

Maybe this topic already excists, but if not...this will be a good thread.

I was looking at my room and realised that it isn't Rock 'n' Roll.
Well, it is Fuck 'n' Dull 8).
Friends of mine said the same and couldn't match my identity of a Rock 'n' Roll Hippie and the way that it is not mentioned in my own house.

Therefore I'm looking for posters; especially Jefferson Airplane, Oasis, Beatles, Who, Stones (with Brian Jones!), Crosby, Stills & Nash & The Soundtrack OF Our Lives.
I live in a town called Groningen and searched for it...well, I found posters.
Eminem, D12, 50 dollarcents and Beyonce...
Not the posters that I search for.

I found some interesting Dutch sites:

http://www.posterexpress.nl/
http://www.postersale.nl/
http://www.posterland.nl/

There are also a lot of international postershops.
Hopefully with some JA..

Dutch;

English;
There is not much from Jefferson Airplane
to buy....At Wolgangs Vault are more posters
and other things to buy, but it cost some $$$$$...
How are things going on in Groningen ?
Are there some shops for JA cds / dvds ?

I know my english is

English:

There are several quality cd shops that have a major collection.
I'm thinking about Plato, but there are also a lot of small (specialised) cd shops who for instance sell vinyl.
I'm looking for the Jefferson Airplane, for a reasonable price.
Unfortunately I haven't found annything interesting in Groningen.
bla bla bla bla 8)
Posters of the 60/70s are hard to find, compared to Eminem and all those 'heroes' of today.

If I find something nice, I'll let you know :) .

Thanks!
Nice site indeed....the poster you ordered is great..

Hey, what a lot of Dutch fans 8)
Seems that the Jefferson Airplane is populair among 'us'.
I'm proud of the fact that there are people in our country that appreciate 'great' music.
A lot of my generation are into rap and I bet many don't even know about bands like JA.
That's a shame, a lack of education...
But wait, I'm growing to be a fan...you know, I'm getting hooked more and more.
I grew up with the Stones, Beatles, Kinks, Eagles, Jim Groce, The Who, Al Stewart, Bread, Golden Earring.
Those are the records my parents would play.
And I was only young and music made such an impression.
I fell in love....it is so important for me.

But I never 'really' listened to Jefferson Airplane.
Somehow I wasn't aware of the fact that there is one great band I haven't really listened to.
I bought some dvd's of Woodstock.
And the performance, the attitude and the great music made me fan.
At now, the JA entered my elite list of favorite bands.

Sometimes it takes time to find a hidden treasure...

Jefferson Airplane is heeeeel zeldzaam.
In Heerlen , oranje nassaustraat 29
De zaak heet Satisfaction, ze hebben ook
2e hands materiaal.....

Heerlen, well.....the distance between Heerlen and Groningen is ehh...

Are you drinking or smoking Chasin'Destiny?
Just grabbed a few beers...maybe I'm rolling something later or I'll take a William Grants Whiskey.
However, yes it's a bit strange that we 'Dutch' are so active.
I'll guess we are fanatic in the things we like.
But hey, I want to pass a beer through the screen, would you catch it?

In Groningen there are a lot of cd shops with old stuff like vinyls etc.
Nice city...visit me and I guide you!

No beer, no whiskey, no cannabis?
If you were here. you could choose you know.

It's a small world indeed...
And Holland is small...
But the distance between people is so enormous.
Sometimes I lay in bed and think about organizing a Dutch woodstock...
I'm not kidding...I'm dreaming of it.
Peace, music, alcohol/softdrugs and make the world understand how to communicate to eachother 8) .
It is not forbidden to dream..
