What song do y'all want to hear?

Sounds like the remains of Skynyrd were the only ones with some class at this induction. How is Blondie elected, and groups like Yes and Genesis passed over? Is there a quota they have meet of MTV inductees??
I saw the "Tribute Tour" concert, almost 20 years ago - possibly the highest energy show I've ever seen, and seeing the little brother up there did get some tears flowing...

I don’t remember if I wrote about this issue here or in another forum. But basically my two cents is that the Hall is in a no-win situation. Bands like Yes certainly deserve to be in. But the Hall inducts about a half-dozen every year. So, SOMEBODY has to wait. The Airplane waited. The Beatles waited. If the Hall inducts everyone who is worthy at once, then there will be no one to induct the following year.

I guess the formula for selecting the inductees goes like this:
1 forgotten black guy or group +
1 old flavor of the month MTV group +
1 classic rock group +
1 outragous act that supposedly broke some barriers =
Mix well, and piss everyone off!
