Ah yes, Go Ride the Music was awesome! I bought the DVD on amazon awhile back (costly, like 25 dollars, but worth it). If only it were longer 8)

Hehe, I uploaded those! The original upload of White Rabbit got removed by youtube. Youtube has a database of songs given to them by various record companies and every video is scanned automatically and if it finds anything that's in the database it gets removed. I replaced the audio track of White Rabbit (which was lipsynced to the recorded version) with the live version from Monterey, I had to adjust the speed(while keeping the pitch the same) to make it stay in sync, then uploaded it to a different youtube account.

The August '69 Cavett show was the day after Woodstock ended ... not three days after.

Hendrix was supposed to be on the show but was too tired to appear.

The Airplane were on Cavett another time where there was a dispute about playing "Mexico."
So they did a long version of Volunteers and refused to stop.
I haven't been able to find that on either YouTube or the Cavett DVDs.
Anyone have a link?

BTW, I talked to Jorma once about the shortage of good live film footage of the band and he agreed.
He said a film crew went with the band on their European tour with the Doors but the filmmaker and the footage sort of just disappeared.

Too bad
. :(

No, those are all the same post-Woodstock August 1969 show.

The Cavett show I'm talking about is from March 1970.

They did Emergency and Volunteers.

I respectfully disagree with the IMDb.

I saw the Airplane at the Fillmore during their run in November 1970.
Grace was seven months pregnant with China ... and Marty was in is "Charles Manson look" at that time.
I do not recall them looking like that on the Cavett show I'm referring to.
I'll stick with March.
(The Airplane made two trips a year to NYC in those days, one in November and one in the Spring.)

And besides, regardless of the month, there still is no known video of it.

Yes, IMDB is wrong, it's 26 March 1970 not November. Somewhere on a cd I've got Emergency from the 26 March show that I downloaded from youtube. I'll upload it if I can find it.

Before the official JA reunion tour in 1989 there was a concert in 1988 where Kaukonen and Casady played with Kantner: 03/04/88 in San Francisco. On YouTube you can find videos of two songs of this "Hot Tuna/ Starship Reunion": "Wooden Ships" and "Chelsea". With a guest singer. Guess who.

Wolfgangs vault started adding video!

Jefferson Airplane - Fillmore East, 28 Nov 1970 (color)

Jefferson Starship - Winterland, 8 Nov 1975 (b&w)

(Unfortunately the last song only lasts 1 second and it's supposed to be 7 minutes. Maybe they'll re-upload it later.)
