Comparing JA discussions

I just thought of starting a topic here on comparing how diff people on different sites talk about and relate to JA/JS. I found that they're talking about JA on the Concert Vault Forums too....logically!:):):). Take a peek-a-boo!

I like the way you summed up the JA / JS / Grace thing....cool. My point was only to show how perhaps not strictly 60s/JA fans would relate to the band and its music. The Wolfgang's Vault site is very 60s - psychedelic-oriented so the people who post on its forums should give a good insight on how they see and judge JA, JS, Hot Tuna and Grace Slick:)

UNfortunately $$$ makes the world go round...as they say.....but we have recently seen how the world can come to a halt if the money machine blows! ....(ref. to the recent home loan saga in the USA! )

There is NO margin for disagreement here.....I know what you mean....my dad worked his head off in a steel mill for 45 yrs (A.I.S. / B.H.P Australia):..he started at age 14!
Thanx to him today I can be here today in front of this new technology to talk about about my fave psychedelic band that gives me the best vibes and makes me reflect on what the world was, what it is and it's coming to..........THANK YOU JEFFERSON AIRPLANE FOR KEEPING MY MIND FREE OF BRAINWASHING AND TO THINK WITH MY OWN BRAIN!! :)

I respect and look up to both Grace and the band as a whole. They have all given me lots of joy and hope for the future....I can only thank them forever.....they opened doors for my mind!:)

Opened up my mind to a whole new experience in life; I can't repay them in money.

And Grace? She has opened my up to feeling this higher power of love. That is definitely unexplainable, my love for her. I can't ever repay what she has also done for me.

And I have to admit.
I really dig Starship's "Tomorrow Doesn't Matter Tonight"...I saw the video and Gracie made me swoon, so I kinda have this attachment to that song.
But that's the only song of thiers that I like, honestly.

Starship from Mickey Thomas ; A lot of people don't like it... to much 80s stuff.
Jefferson Starship without Grace ; A lot of people don' like it... something is missing.
Jefferson Starship with Grace ; Some JA fans still like it !... Grace belongs there.
Jefferson Airplane with Grace ; It's The Best of the 60s !... NO doubt about it !
Jefferson Airplane with Signe ; It's GREAT & RARE... NO ONE should forget her !!!!!!
Hot Tuna ; Sometimes better than JA ever could be !
Grace on her own ; GREAT person, GREAT voice... but... i miss Jack & Jorma...

Today ? ... We should be happy with this forum ! ... even with me around here.

I think Grace was at her best when she had equally talented people to play off against. I'm thinking particularly of her vocal skirmishes with Marty. And the combination of Paul on guitar and bass and Grace on piano was spine-chillingly brilliant.
