Chas, I agree COMPLETELY. I'm a woman. Grace is one of my heroes. BUT... I'm not completely free of jealousy either! She was once far nicer looking than me, she isn't afraid to say what she thinks, and her singing and composing could be transcendental sometimes. Yet it would be mean not to acknowledge her talent.

But to return to the subject of dreams, some cultures believed that dreams were realer than life. Not last night, the night before, I dreamed the World was inside out, and on the other side, over my head, was a land called Deutsch Nigeria, where the sun always shone at twelve o' clock and the oranges grew six foot wide.

Holy Precambrian, Batman - I dreamt about Great Society last night! I'd better be careful, I'm starting to enjoy this!

ANYWAY... Grace said "You're repeating yourself", and I replied "I know, I know. My mother told me so."

Mr. Destiny, I remember the 29th of October 1969 very clearly. It was my first day in Australia. We'd flown in from London on a BOAC 707 the night before.

It was like going to the Moon, only slightly quicker. I found it highly significant that our first house there was in NEIL Street.

I have to admit, I'd miss Australia a lot if I ever moved away. The smell of autumn bonfires here is delicious, and I think we're the only place where you can buy passionfruit soft drink. Just to mention two of the advantages... But Englishness is like Christianity, hard to shake off completely.

Oh Australia is magical even because it's a huge 'melting pot' of modern, nature and extremely primitive features. I love the way many of us interact with our aboriginals maintaining the typical English 'aplomb'. I love our aboriginals and would go out of my way to help them!!

What part of Aus are you from Susan? I'm on the sunny Gold Coast, but originally from Melbourne. :D

Daylesford, a tourist trap in the Central Highlands of Victoria. It used to be a gold mining town, but now well-off people come for the spas and the scenery. The scenery is artifical, by the way, and the town itself looks a bit cardboard, too; the forests around here were completely dug up in the late 19th Century, and the lakes are old open pit mines, but they don't tell the tourists that. It's a great place if you're interested in fungi, though! A lot of nicely weird people live here, too. So what's your town like?

I've had 3 dreams about Grace.

The first is too long to post. But it is the BEST dream EVER!!! :D

The second involves our arms around each other as I take out her ponytail and run my fingers through her hair. She was smiling the entire time.

The third involves a weird sort of out-of-body experience. I was in this room, Grace was doing an art show...and people were asking her questions. She kept on bringing up The B-52's because it reminded her of me.

Annnnd that's all I've had. :) :D

You may proceed to your regularly scheduled program.

My favourite Grace dreams are us sort of hanging out, as friends. I have a lame fantasy/daydream that she'll move here...move in next door to me, and we meet and then hang out sometimes. I go over there for dinner and stuff...LMAO

Oh, and Susan, the Gold Coast is lovely, where I am. I've never been to Daylesford, but my mum went there for a weekend once (a Writer's Festival. She's an author), and my best friend and her partner went there for a romantic spa weekend. They said it was excellent.
