I am old enough to remember when that picture (or another from the same series) appeared in CREEM magazine, circa 1981...

I was about 12-13 years old...

Believe it-- that photo helped me to "achieve" puberty... OHHH YEEAHHH!!!

Thanks for the welcome!
I've been an Airplane fan since Somebody to Love came out. Then my poor Mom brought home the Baxter's album from the Paris, KY public library, little suspecting what a lifelong influence it would have on me.
I've been a professional musician since 1973--it was Jack Casady's bass playing that inspired me!
Got to see JA in Louisville, KY (1972?) when Papa John and Joey Covingtion were in the lineup. What a complete wall of sound from the top to the bottom of the audial spectrum! And Grace would hold the mike at arm's length and could still be heard over everybody!
So thank you, Jefferson Airplane for so deeply touching a soul, and thank you Jack Casady for such amazing bass playing.
