Postby DonRico1967 on Tue Aug 28, 2007 12:25 am

Who has seen this priceless relic???

All I have is the "We Can Be Together" that was released on the FLY JEFFERSON AIRPLANE DVD...

Certainly there MUST be a kind soul who has the full and complete broadcast archived and willing to not-for-profit copy!?!?!?

If so, collect-call Rico at BR-549... 'Cause I NEEDS me sum!!!

I have seen offered on the internet a "boot-leg"--

Which contains both the "A NIGHT AT THE FAMILY DOG" and yet not only but also the "GO RIDE THE MUSIC" broadcasts on one DVD...

Does anyone here know how to obtain this???

Also--

What about the 1969 ABC-TV late-nite broadcast of "PLAYBOY AFTER DARK" featuring The Grateful Dead...

You know... The one where The Dead, the TV crew, the Bunnies and Hugh Hefner himself were ALL dosed (by the band?) on Owsley acid!?!?!?!

I GOTS to get me a copy of THAT!!!

I got that one. Two, actually, as there's one file of the interview with Hef followed by an acoustic Mountains Of The Moon, and another where the whole band does St. Stephen into Lovelight. They're on furthurnet as gd1969-01-18.mpegf, and I'm sure they're on etree as well. 101mb in size. Out of my batch it's the second-most downloaded Dead video.

Cheers,
Dave

Hang in there, I'm trying to upload it to my website. If it gets there I'll post a URL and you can download it. It's just an .mpeg file, which WindBlows media player should handle. Stay tuned...

Cheers,
Dave

Thanks. I've got webspace, it's just that I've had problems in the past with large file transmissions. Also, while I'm uploading I went and watched it for the first time in a while. The documentation is a little misleading, as they do appear to go into Lovelight, but the video cuts before you get to hear it. So it's basically Mountains of the Moon and St. Stephen. And sorry, no bunnies, but with the music it's worth it. It is live (no lip-syncing), and they appear to be really enjoying themselves. Hopefully it'll be done uploading by morning...

Cheers,
Dave

Wow, that was faster than I thought it'd be. The video is here:

Best to right-click on it and save it, go have a couple of beers, then enjoy. :D :D :D
