New Blog Entries for anyone who cares

I’ve posted more things on my blog. LOL. They’re just more complaints and boring rants about various things. One of them is asking if anyone knows Grace’s contact address, heheh. I wrote to Area Arts, asking if they had a contact address or if they WERE a contact address, but that was several weeks ago and I’ve received no reply, sadly…TRAGICALLY even. *sniff*

I was referred to Area Arts for an address from Limelight Agencies…*sigh*

Anyway, yes. Read my blog if you’re bored. It may alleviate the boredom, but more likely it’ll just put you to sleep…which will also alleviate boredom. Can’t be bored if you’re asleep, can ye? *slapping my own knee* LOL.

I do understand this. I just want to let her know. I doubt she would have THAT much correspondence coming in. I really do. She has said that people have written to her and sent her stuff, and even one of her fans became one of her best friends! (this was in her book)

Not that I expect this to happen (but wouldn’t that be just fantastic!?), but you know…I just want the chance to write to her.

I VERY much respect her, and anyone else’s, privacy. If for some reason I ever found out something private about her or a home address etc, I’d NEVER tell anybody or ever abuse it EVER. No way.

I see how people treat so-called celebrities like Britney Spears and Madonna and stuff, and it is beyond me how these “fansâ€

Some time ago i did take a look at the Janis Joplin
forum, some more or less nude pictures from Janis.
Is that cool ? If i would be a fan of Janis i wouldn't like it !
And pictures from Janis in a drunk situation ? Coolll ?

My opinion on it- as a recent Janis fan myself:

Any picture that was taken of Janis that is being used to exploit her or make her look despicable shouldn't be posted on websites. The thing with nudity: Unless the picture was taken when she thought she was alone or without her knowledge and permission (creepy), then who cares? Look at Woodstock and other concerts. Nudity wasn't an issue. It may just be an expression of freedom. Nothing to take so seriously.

I may be out on a limb here CD, but it seems you are a bit hard on Janis.

OK I will break it down so maybe y'all will stop with the FIGHTING.

I have seen an officially-released JANIS JOPLIN poster (photographed by Herb Greene perhaps?) where she is nude and facing the camera... With only love-beads to adorn her naked body...

To me, that indicates that Janis was OK with her own nudity being photographed.

I have also seen a photograph of JEFFERSON STARSHIP live onstage in 1975 (was it N.Y. Central Park?) and there is Grace Slick, fully nude from waist-up (i.e., no "below-belt" goodies, but mammary glands in full beautiful display)...

SHE WAS ONSTAGE in front of THOUSANDS...

I do NOT think that Grace had too much hang-ups about nudity...

... Or else she would not have taken off her blouse in a massive New York show and let EVERYBODY see the pups, whether they PHOTOGRAPHED them or NOT.
