Heheh, well, I read in a Frank Zappa biography my girlfriend has that it's about Grace's period, yeah. Or at least, I THINK I read it in a Frank book...she's got so many damn books, I get myself confused about where I've read what and when.

In any case, it was just a very brief thing about how the song didn't do so well and people expected more from that particular collaboration but that the public wasn't really ready for a whole song about Grace having her period. Those last several words were the exact words I read in this book, whatever it is.

So yeah...now that I know this, the lyrics do make (a bit) more sense...sort of. Somehow it makes sense...just the strange sort of chaos of it, the noises of somewhat pain and frustration or annoyance, the blood things mentioned, eating figs (I think they have iron in 'em)...lol

Yeah, it does make more sense once you know that. I looked at the lyrics again once I found out, and I still don't completely understand it ("get her flat on her back like that and she leaves in the middle of the program"?). But the song is interesting in itself. The pain noises, yeah. The figs I never got until you mentioned that. But the rest of the song is sort of odd, and I don't know how it'd be about Grace's period. Oh, and the blood-related things I do get now.

Yeah, it does suck, the fires. They're nowhere near me personally, but Susan I'm not sure of. It happens most years during Summer in parts of Victoria and New South Wales. This year is a lot worse cause the temperatures are so extremely high.

Where I am it's pretty mild. It's HOT and humid, but it's not like inferno conditions like it is further south.

And thank you Rabbit for bringing the thread back to its original point, about the song, not about religion and whatever else it veered off course towards.

I was disappointed by one carless and thoughtless word (''stupid'') spoken by person whom I appreciate.Even if she is still too green.Now it seems that topics are more important than people, here.Maybe we are too selfish and don't appreciate each other enough.That is sad.From the beginning, I considered you as friends.I deleted all my posts to protest against the lack of tolerance and good will.Maybe I am too naive...and i know I am overreacting,but still...
