The Doors DVD with Grace & Paul

Postby graceslick on Sun Jul 22, 2007 8:04 pm

Another question – you know The Doors DVD that’s around with introduction and comments throughout from Grace & Paul? I have this now and have already watched their bits 3 times, heheh. It’s really good.

Anyway, does anyone know when their bits were shot? Like, obviously the original footage of The Doors was in the 60s, but when was the interview stuff/narrative done with Grace & Paul?

Thanks!

Thanks for that, but actually what I was asking was when Grace and Paul did the narrative bit? NOT the original 60s footage. I know that they were in Europe together, but clearly the extra bits with Grace and Paul were NOT from the 60s. I guess they're around the late 80s or even early 90s perhaps...

I think the Grace and Paul bits were shot in either '88 or '87...either way late '80s.

I didn’t even notice the panda! I can’t see that far away. LOL. I still don’t know what year their bit was done. Meh.

The Grace and Paul interviews for The Doors in Europe were shot in 1988. The Doors in Europe was originally a Cinemax special, then was released on VHS and recentley re-issued on DVD.

I have never read Craig's book. I got that info from the Doors' official message board.
