At Golden Gate Park

Anyone have this live album? I found it yesterday and it's great. Grace sings an awesome version of "Good Shepherd" and "White Rabbit". There's a cool jam too.

I was going to write a huge review but my brain died.
So yeah, go buy it.

I don't know this album; can you post a link?
The only live albums I know are 'Bless It's Pointed Little Head' and my a;; time favorite live album ' Thirteen Seconds Over Winterland'.
Can't tell about the quality of other live albums, but I heard that there are weak ones around.

:)

Many JA fans HATE this CD. The sound is very bad and the 'plane were not playing top notch that day. (It was available as a trade for quite a while.) Still, has some historial significance I guess.

Well, as I said, and as the reviewers on Amazon say - it's a mixed bag.
The sound quality is bad and the performance is ragged at best.

I'd say it's for the "true fan" only and as a historial document.

Not exactly for the "listening pleasure."

Hope that helps.

Well, I stick with 'Winterland'; what an excellent live recording!
JA at it's finest... :)

What about Live At Fillmore East...can it be compared with Live @ Golden Gate Park?
Those records are released on dubious record labels, maybe that says something about the sound quality. :?:

The sound quality has to be decent even for a true fan!

The quality didn't start to fuck up until near the end of the record. Also, at least on my CD, it says that the last song is "Mexico" when it is in fact "3/5's Of A Mile In 10 Seconds".

Other than that, I enjoyed it a lot, particularly "Good Shepherd".
