Grunt Records?

Postby goodshepherd90 on Tue Dec 26, 2006 3:24 pm

I don't know if this has been discussed here yet but does Grunt Records still exist? If not then when did it close up shop?

The reason I ask is because I was looking at a cd of my brothers that had a bunch of arena rock singles from the 1980's and it stated that Starship's "We Built This City" was released by Grunt as a single on 9/85....I always thought that after J. Starship they folded up.

As far as I know, Starship's "No Protection" was the final album released by Grunt Records. certainly it states "Grunt" on my copy whereas their subsequent album "Love Among the Cannibals" just has a standard RCA label. JA's reunion album was on a different label altogether.. Epic/CBS
