That must be it- thanks! JA didn't play "The Farm" live much at all. This should be worth having.

Hi fellow flight goers:

If the date that is being used for the new J.A. live recording is legit,
this is a tremendous find. The show has not been available to the
collector of live performances.

Until it is in our hands we can't comapre it to other shows from that time because they didn't give the playing time for each track.

The cover looks great!!

Happy weekend and the tracks are listed below,
CF

1. The Other Side Of This Life
2. Somebody To Love
3. The Farm
4. Greasy Heart
5. Good Shepherd
6. Plastic Fantastic Lover
7. Uncle Sam Blues
8. Volunteers
9. White Rabbit
10. Won't You Try / Saturday Afternoon
11. Jam - Bonus Track
12. We Can Be Together - Bonus Track
13. Mexico - Bonus Track

Jefferson Airplane live find

Postby craigtheairplaneman on Sun Oct 22, 2006 11:24 am

Greetings Psychhead and other fine flyers:

Hopefully the date of the show will be real and we can have another cool Airplane live treasure to check out.

The board is great, the way we can pass on info to all the fine fans throughout the world.

It also is appreciated that people are respectful. I see so many boards with attacks for no reason.

Way to go fans and thanks Roman,

Craig The Airplane Man
Waiting for the book, waiting for the book. Did I mention I am waiting for the book?

Hi Psychhead and all fine people:

Normally I don' want to rush any part of the day away, however I am okay with skipping the next 7-14 days so I can have a book announcement (I hope).

Next time you visit m ysite you will see the coolest circus tent ever. That was from Chasin' Destiny!!

Thanks 1,000,000!!

All be well,
CF

Hi: ....On the 2400 Fulton message board some years ago, we had an ongoing discussion about the legit status of a JA live in the park cd...As far as I know, I've not seen it on any list of authorized releases by the band....Perhaps this "new" one is the very same album as discussed by long time fultonites before...
Rampant piracy and bootleg cds sold for profit has been a problem on an international scale for years...In any case, the only sources about any "authorized" JA releases would be Bill Thompson of JA management with a listing on this website or one of the active band members....Anything else should be "let the buyer beware..." If anyone buys a JA album that sounds like it was recorded in a cave with a cheap tape recorder, you were warned.... Best Regards! JBK

Crap on CD & DVD !

Postby Chasin'Destiny on Mon Oct 30, 2006 5:59 pm

Not only CDs are sometimes just crap,
i have some DVDs......realy funny sometimes.....

On the cover-outside ; The Woodstock generation.....
or this one ; When Woodstock was young......

The bands on the DVD ?... 4 of the names on the DVD
are realy from Woodstock....the rest ?.....

Sound quality is ok, but sometimes the picture quality
is just crap...BIG crap from an old VHS recorder from
about 1989 (?) on an old tape......hey, some people may
have an old VHS video tape in da house !!!!.....
Maybe someone did record a show with JA !!!!!!....
Now is the tape just collecting much dust......

Hi friends,

the Golden Gate '69 show is not so rare,I have a recording of it named "Knocking At The Golden Gate" and(at least in my copy)the final part of Won't You Try / Saturday Afternoon is cut.
Probably the last 2 songs We Can Be Together and Mexico are from a different show.

Well, I got this CD & had a listen while playing bass along. Excellent sound quality, though far from the best quality playing I've heard the Airplane do. Some tunes though, are quite good. My biggest problem with this CD is the last song listed, Mexico, is introduced, but never played! Instead, we get a different version of the show's first song- Other Side of This Life! Geez, if you can't trust a record company...
