Some of your favourite lines or lyrics from Jefferson Airplane?

If you were a bird and you lived very high, knew the wind as the breeze came by, say to the wind as it took you away, That's where I wanted to go today
Love like a mountain springtime, flashing through the rivers of my mind. It's what I feel for you...armadillo
-The Ballad of You & Me & Pooneil

Up against the wall...motherfucker
-We Can Be Together

to name a few

"Everything they say we are, we are, and we are very proud of ourselves" - We Can Be Together

The whole "White Rabbit" just pure classic.

"Go ride the music" - Wooden Ships

"Don't you need somebody to love?" - Somebody To Love

"You came to stay and live my way, scatter my love like leaves in the wind" - Comin' Back To Me

"Is it time to leave my lady? Yes it is I know, round about and everywhere sunshine instead of snow" - Won't You Try Saturday Afternoon

"I can see my life is meant to fall apart some day" - Blues From An Airplane

I saw you grow older
Saw myself grow older too
But not as much as you

"I can see from your coat, my friend,
That you're from the other side."

Wooden Ships

I'm pretty sure that this isn't from the verse that David Crosby wrote.

Mine would be the complete lyrics to "Rejoyce" and "Two Heads".
I'm not going to type the all out.

Mine too! Among her very best, and certainly my favorite lyrics.

I have a story related to this. I used to work with a woman who, after I few months, I learned was a big Airplane fan.

Out of the blue one day, I said to her: "Streets are made of brick..."

... and after only a few seconds, she shot back: "... with gold crosses on a stick."

I don't care if it sounds sexist, but I defy anyone to find a female who can do that.

But Lather still finds it a nice thing to do,
To lie about nude in the sand,
Drawing pictures of mountains that look like bumps,
And thrashing the air with his hands.

"...We are all outlaws in the eyes of AMERIKKKA

In order to survive we steal cheat lie forge FRED hide and deal

We are obscene lawless hideous dangerous dirty violent and young...

...We are voices of chaos and anarchy

Everything they say we are WE ARE

And we are very proud of ourselves..."

Gives me chills to this day... 8)
