Does anybody here can share a photo(s) of Jack and Jimi playing?
Does anybody here can share a photo(s) of Jack or any other member of the Airplane with Jimi?
Was Jack the only one who performed / recorded with Jimi?

Wow I found one via the help of Richard from 2400 Fulton St

Go to this link and you'll see Jack on stage with Jimi Hendrix in Oakland 1969

Hey thanks for the link, I had no idea Jimi and Jack ever performed together. That makes me smile.

Jack appears at least in two offical releases by Jimi Hendrix, one of them released when Jimi was alive: Electric Ladyland

He also appears in the "Live at Winterland" album, officialy released by Ryco as a CD, he kicks ass there, you can hear Jimi introducing him

Hi VcW!!!!!
Uhm...no...unfortunately I don't have the pics concerned, but what I AM looking for are some pics of Jimi with his long-time friend and fellow musician Little Richard!!!! Any idea where I can view them??!

Happy Birthday Jimi etc

Postby noelpne on Fri Apr 22, 2005 4:09 pm

Either Jack or Jorma jammed with Jimi in one of the musicians tents
prior them going on at Monterey.

I think Jack also played with Jimi & Mitch & Dave Mason ( from 'Traffic' ),
live at the Albert Hall London, in 1969. There is an album of this gig

Happy Birthday Jimi

Postby noelpne on Tue Apr 26, 2005 5:54 pm

Looked-up in my Jimi book ( entitled "Please excuse me while I kiss the Sky " ) --- and am sorry to say that I'm mistaken. Jimi was with The
Experience + Dave Mason,Chris Wood, & a Conga-playing cat called Juma
---but alas no Jorma.

Right you are, Noelpne... No Jorma on that jam.

And the conga-playing cat named Juma Sultan did play with Jimi extensively in 1969 and 1970.

But at those Royal Albert Hall gigs from February '69, the hand percussion is by Rocky Dzidzornu, who is also known for playing on ROLLING STONES "Sympathy For The Devil".

What the French Caption Says

Postby FirstBassman13 on Wed May 04, 2005 11:58 am

The caption says that Hendrix introduced the famous bass player joining them onstage as "Jack Bruce." Someone from the audience yells out and corrects Jimi that it's "Jack Casady."

All the best, - Mark

Can you still get that album on C.D. - Mark / FirstBaseman13 ?

All info. Gratefully received.
Also - what about 'Rainbow Bridge' ? My vinyl's getting pretty worn....
