Favorite places

This pictures are about my favorite places.
Sometimes I just walk around, meditate or drink.
The lake is the Hoornseplas, near my hometown Groningen.

In my own neighborhood:

Beijum/Kardinge, not far away from where I was born and raised.

My fav. place is in Germany,
about two hours from my home.
It is in very old German style.
Woods ?....more than enough....
It is Monschau in the Eifel.

Or in "my own" Limburg ,
the most beautiful part of
the Netherlands !... 8) ...
Maastricht ,down to the Belgian border.
Woods ,fields much fields....

Some other pictures of Groningen.
The first one is another picture of de Hoornseplas/Hoornsemeer, 20 minutes from where I live.
I really love it there....for obvious reasons.
You can see Groningen at the horizon....the picture is a bit dated (april 1997) but it hasn't changed much since then.

Stadspark....the place where I'd like to hang out.
There is a camping situated in the parc.
And....it is historic for being a place where hippies used to hang out.
Ehmm....well, maybe there are a few hippies left (like me) who still do.
5 years ago was very special, because the Stones gave a concert in the parc and they slept at the Stadsparkpaviljoen.
85.000 people went to that concert and I was one of them

indian summer... i'm actually thinking of doing study-abroad in the hague, partly because tuition is so much lower than what i'm paying now for my private university in chicago but also because (and your pics seem to show this) that the country is quite beautiful...
have you been to the hague? any words of advice about living in the netherlands?
