Saw Hot Tuna last night, and was treated to one their best shows that I can recall. The setlist doesn't really jump out at you, but there seemed to be a high level of enthusiasm with them and the crowd. I had alot of whiskey in me, but wasn't the only one dancing and hooting!
1. I See the Light
2. Corners Without Exits
3. A Little Faster
4. Ode To Billy Dean
5. Children of Zion
6. Hesitation Blues
7. Mourning Interrupted
8. Bowlegged Woman
9. Second Chances
10. 99 Year Blues
11. If This Is Love, I Want My Money Back
12. Hit Single # 1
13. Funky #7
14. Baby What You Want Me To Do
A fellow named Steve Kimock opened the show. He played "Good Shepperd" and later joined the band for the last couple of songs. By far the best guest musician I've seen onstage with them.
The guy next to me giddily announced to everyone before the show that Bob Steeler would be their drummer. I know he has joined them as a second drummer at a few recent shows, but he wasn't scheduled for this night. That guy got so pissed when he saw Skoota Warner walk onstage, and then pouted through the whole show. I teased him that maybe it was Papa John Creach (Skoota happens to be black and bald) who he heard would be reuniting with the band.
