Part of the fun is the media. After hyping the 2012 End of the World for years, they are, as is very obvious in their coverage of this non-event, very disappointed that all they can find are people, who think 12.21.12 is another reason to party.
No mobs running to the top of the mountains to be saved by UFO's, just a few silly drunks in silver suits, watched by hundreds of journalists, who out of boredom are interviewing each other. A "wordy" handjob.
