I haven't been on this forum for a while, so I don't know if everyone is aware that Jorma is approaching 70 years of age and is having a 2-night celebration at the Beacon Theatre in NYC.
Look at: http://hottuna.com/save-the-date-decemb ... elebration. Both nights are sold out... I'll be there... anybody else?

Yup, I'll be there too. Can't wait! When I talked to him back a little while ago, he said it'll be a great show.

Cool! Traveling all the way from California? That's some dedication. We are coming from Colorado... Yes, they should be great shows. I notice there will be so many guest musicians that none of them are likely to spend much time on stage... The shows are listed as "only" 3 hours each... As Jorma is so fond of saying, "It just doesn't get any better."

The first show is tomorrow, and I AM PSYCHED!
Also, Hot Tuna is now recording its first studio album in 20 years! Can't wait to hear that.

Great shows, indeed! Friday's was 3-1/2 hours long. This is a link to Jorma's blog, which has the set lists and guests. BTW, the birthday cake, which was in the shape of a Gibson Les Paul, tasted great! http://jormakaukonen.com/cracksinthefinish/

Oh, you were backstage? I was too, for a bit. Just long enough to say hi to Jorma and Jack, but I was there too. And got a picture of the fabulous cake!
