JS Saves The World Tour 2005

Anything goes here folks... just keep it somewhat clean ;)

JS Saves The World Tour 2005

Postby Bloodshed Bob on Mon Mar 07, 2005 10:50 pm

In May JS is hitting Belgium for one gig.

My question to you folks, is it worth it?
Anybody heard/seen something of this tour?
Anybody know what they play? Mainly JA or JF?

And anybody know the difference between the normal gigs and the 'galactic reunion' gigs?

had to admit they put on one hell of a show.
so go and have some fun
its money well spent
i shall be seeing them in london in may

not sure about the whole galactic /normal gig
i guess it just opens up the gig to more frisco tunes and artists
ie tom constanten from the gratful dead and david freiberg from quicksiver

go!

I saw JS about three weeks ago, and they were awesome. they did many many airplane classics, including a rocking version of high flying bird, won't you try/saturday afternoon, she has funny cars, volunteers... it was a great performance, and even though grace won't be there, they have very good female vocalists to fill the... void. they also did a fair amount of the bigger jefferson starship hits, like jane, ride the tiger, etc.

i saw the galactic reunion, basically tom constanten (sp) opened with some good piano playing, and david freiberg(sp) came on stage for some numbers with the band.

They may be sadly mistaken.

The great Papa John Creach left us some years ago, God rest his beautiful soul.

I saw the JEFFERSON STARSHIP in 1992 with Paul, Jack, and Papa John...

I feel blessed to have been there at one of his last shows...

GOD BLESS PAPA JOHN CREACH

This band must have a bad publicist. I often see listings for JS shows promising members long gone. Curious. Papa John added a uniqueness to the band, but IMHO, they went downhill when Jack left. I see the current tour features three(!) keyboardists, but no bassist.

Would anyone with any information about U.K. gigs by West Coast
people post it up here?
( I don't regularly get the music mags anymore & I don't want to miss
anything. ) I'm not going to miss Crosby Stills & Nash in June Though!
Thanks !
