Favorite Animal

What is your favorite animal? You can't say our pets, because they are of course our favorite. It should be a wild animal, and be something interesting about nature.

My favorite animal is the platypus. It is one of two mammals that lay eggs, it is venomnous, and it uses electrolocation to find its food. It is an amazing animal. I know some members here are from Australia. Maybe some of you may have seen one in the wild?

The most interesting animal I have seen in the wild is the hummingbird. Everyone that lives in the Americas should buy or make a hummingbird feeder! I live in Iowa, and it reached -50 degree (F) windchill this past winter. Even so, hummingbirds live here in the spring and summer, and visit my hummingbird feeder daily.
