There can be some mean talk on any forum, but I enjoy being on both forums. I respect both Grace and Janis and I didn't know this could have been a dilemma! . Anyway, I respect, admire and love both Grace and Janis as WOMEN first of all and as TOP artists.....BOTH of them equally. I am sure THEY were big friends and that still today, Grace is deeply saddened by J's death . I've been meaning to ask our mutual friend Craig Fenton about this matter, but I didn't have much time last week......hmmmm, I think I'll mail him and try to straighten things out! :)

His words about Grace and Janis ;

Hope all is well. The people that are causing trouble are not worth the
time of day! Grace and Janis were friends right until her passing away.

Fact: Grace always would give Janis credit as being the best female voice
of the time. I always thought Grace was. In 1968 when Grace was part of a
short segment on the most powerful AM radio station in the US, she
mentioned that Janice was better than her.

When I did a lecture in Louisville, Kentucky one of the people that
stopped by lived on the same block as Janis at one time and Grace was at
her house often. They would go out together all the time.

Finally CD......good move...you saved me time and hassles (not that I don't like to speak to our friend Craig of course ).....BUT, does Craig mention this somewhere in his book or perhaps I can directly QUOTE him as proof that we are NOT inventing all this!?!?! I was dead sure Grace and Janis were the best of friends!! :):). If you have the quote and link, pls post it here!

"Playing" with feelings from other people is realy bad to the bone....

Everybody does "it" on his or her own way...

And the kids on JJ forum should have some respect for Grace her feelings...

Most people have their religion to help them through "it" ...
Other people are using drugs / alcohol... others do it with music... etc. etc. etc.

I assure you that the peeps who are talking about Grace and JJ on the JJ forum are NOT kids

Yes, I remember the last time people from the JJ forum made such a fuss about Grace not signing something. I try to read some of the posts there, but time has not been on my side as of late. Some of those people over there must be stupid!

I love both Janis and Grace, and I think they loved each other too. Yet everytime this gets brought up, people talk about how Grace blew off Janis's death. I won't bother to go into details, because if you believe that, then there is no hope.

It is upsetting to see that kind of stuff anywhere, but when it is said in Janis's name, it makes it even more disgusting.

At the time (when was it? A year ago or something?), I made my thoughts known on this forum and definitely on the JJ forum what I thought about the certain people who were badmouthing Grace. I'm not going to bother going into it again, except to say that some people are not meant to understand everything about Grace and the situations around her, including anything Janis-related, and so shouldn't try. They shouldn't make it their place to judge her or anyone else for that matter.

It just shows their stupidity even more.
