Music Quality

Postby Dormouse on Sun Jun 22, 2008 11:28 pm

This thread is meant for anyone that had a question about music quality.

From the best way to arrange speakers, the best music formats, cassettes, CDs, DVDs, anything. No matter what the question, I'm sure someone on this forum can help answer it.

One question that I have always wondered about is the best type of music format. I am only familiar with MP3 and WMA, so I haven't had much experience with this kind of thing. Balancing the size of the file and the quality, what is the best format and at what bit rate?

for mp3s 192 + stereo, all the way!

heres the age old question again,

MONO vs STEREO LPs

regarding the Jefferson Airplane albums

I recently purchased a new sundazed mono version of Jefferson Airplane Takes Off, what do you think? Should I have waited to get the stereo version? Maybe I should get both... I have the mono mp3 album of it but I think when it comes to vinyl it makes a difference. And I also have the LP stereo version of Surrealistic Pillow which sounds grood 8) Sorry if this topic is somewhere else on these forums.
