I'm sure that's true.....LPs are for die-hard collectors. I walked into a record shop the other week and there was a shelf-full of the ENTIRE Iron Maiden vinyl discography there inc. the latest album they released.

Just to get back to vinyl versus CD, CD... I'm not a diehard vinyl collector. I'll buy vinyl, cassettes, or CDs, depending what's available. But vinyl is REALLY CHEAP - very few people in Australia have record players now - and I already had about 400 LPs when gramophone records were pulled off the market here. I just don't hear the clicks and pops if I'm into the music, and in any case, rock and roll has a restricted dynamic range and often depends upon a certain amount of distortion.
