Surrealistic Pillow

In 1967 I bought the mono version of Surrealistic Pillow in England(record no. is RD-7889). The track listing is as follows:-

My Best Friend
3/5 Of A Mile In 10 Seconds
D.C.B.A. -25
How Do You Feel
Embryonic Journey
Don't Slip Away
Come Up The Years
Chauffeur Blues
Today
Comin' Back To Me
Somebody To Love

When I purchased the CD version of the album the track listing is different, so is the vinyl recording one of the anomalies with which RCA seemed to be plagued with? This has puzzled me for some time now, but it's taken me until now to ask the question(it's been on my "to do" list).

Hm...I do recall reading somewhere that the U.K. version of SP was different from the American one, in that they cut out White Rabbit, Plastic Fantastic Lover, and it looks like She Has Funny Cars, too. They replaced those with some unreleased tracks from Takes Off.

That answer your question?

To elaborate on Acid Wolf's reply Jefferson Airplane Takes Off wasn't released in the UK until 1970. The original UK version of Surrealistic Pillow didn't include White Rabbit, She Has Funny Cars and Plastic Fantastic Lover (the most psychedelic tracks) and these songs were replaced by tracks from the 1st album. I believe this was so it could be marketed as a folk rock album. This is the reason I have four copies: the original UK vinyl, the US vinyl, the stereo/mono CD and the CD with bonus tracks.
