Hot Tuna, Alive!

Postby gTarFreak on Tue Dec 18, 2007 11:27 am

Saw Hot Tuna last Saturday night, they sold out the Beacon Theatre in NYC. And, for an added treat, G.E. Smith played all but one song with them. And, for a first, he led them in a funky rendition of Somebody to Love! I had seen G.E. and Jack do this at a MoonAlice show, but never thought I'd hear Tuna doing it. All in all they played the sh*t of their set for two hours.

Hey, CD, it was hard enough smuggling the camera in (no cameras, video cameras, recorders, etc.). I was lucky enough to get a shot with my regular crummy camera, otherwise I'd have to use the ones that I took with my cell phone which look more like abstract art then photographs! Unfortunately my camera is an old one given to me after my newer one got soaked at a festival. A better camera would have made the shots doable without a tripod. Running into some tough financial times, here, so things like a modern camera, computer, etc., are on hold for a while. I'm posting this from an 8 year-old PC running Linux, since it won't run any of the latest Windblows releases. Plus, I was in the last row of the theater, since the new management seems to hoard the good seats, reserving them for all their corporate "friends".

Still here, just don't get much time to myself on the computer these days.

Cheers,
Dave
