I like that wall with the Egyptian markings. Seems a Lot of pictures were taken in front of that wall.

Yes, Howard Schickler took several photos during the SP sessions. (he took photos of the Grateful Dead as well)

you can see the Great Society in the background:

I've seen the picture of Grace giving us all the finger on this website, and admired the wall, but I never realized the Great Society posed in front of that wall, too. Thanks, Lilla!

There is also a famous series of photos of a young GRATEFUL DEAD (when they all had those silly Prince Valiant-style haircuts) posed in front of the wall.

The wall was in the house of some famous Haight-Ashbury scenester... Who was it now? Herb Greene maybe?

I finally decided to buy Janis Joplin's album partially due to the photo; her support for JA it seems. And the album is just kickass! I can't believe I wasn't recommended this from my friends earlier. Thanks whenheco for pushing me to discover the classic album. :D

Janis Joplin is a great singer. Started out with a couple of songs, but not much later i bought all her albums. I wonder iff she ever joined JA on stage, i know she played with the Grateful Dead sometimes.
